I'm glad that you're curious about selling your home. While we know there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding today's market, selling your home for a great price is not one of them.
And that is why I am sharing with you 4 BIG REASONS why NOW is a good time to sell.
As a local realtor, it is my commitment to ensure that you have all of the facts and information you need to make the best decisions as to when to sell your home.
Reason #1: Home inventory is low.
You may not think right now is the time to sell your home but it is because we are having a home inventory crisis in the market. According to the latest Home Sales Report from the National Association of Realtors (NAR), total housing inventory is down 18.8% from one year ago. Inventory is well below what was available last year and the houses that do come to the market are selling very quickly.
So if you are curious about what your home would even sell for in today’s market you can get an estimate of what your home might be worth.
In fact, we could go over your personalized options together and I can show you how to get the most money back for your home.
Reason #2: Your Home Value is Increasing
Did you know your home is most likely worth more than you think? That is because current home buyer demand is back due to low-interest rates. With the limited supply of inventory of homes for sale, home prices are driving up up up!
AND the best part is - Sellers are getting 10% above the asking price for their home in today’s market.
Yep, it's true. If you're even slightly curious about how much your home is worth or what a buyer may be willing to pay for it, now is the time to find out. At least discovering what options are available to you to help you decide.
Reason #3: Financial Incentives for Homeowners
We are certainly in a different market than a few years back because most homeowners actually have equity in their homes. Home equity is the difference between what you owe on your mortgage and what your home is currently worth.
As a homeowner, you now have the opportunity to sell your home for whatever reason, especially if you are in a situation where the mortgage is no longer affordable at this time.
Reason #4: Will the home values drop for 2021?
I think we can all agree 2020 brings a lot of uncertainty. Homeowners were in panic mode in March and April fearing the housing market may collapse. Well, as of November 2020 this is not the case, in fact, it's the opposite.
The biggest two questions I am getting right now are:
👉 Will the prices hold up for 2021?
👉 Should you wait to sell your home?
Consumer spending slowed drastically in August as unemployment benefits ran out for millions, leaving 30 million people unemployed. With so much uncertainty in our economy, we will have to continue to closely track our recovery to see where it's leading.
Bottom line if you are thinking of selling, I don't recommend waiting as we are so limited with inventory and some sellers are getting 10% over the asking price for their home.
I would like to help you take advantage of the market we are in and get top dollar for your home! If you still have questions let's connect and discuss your options!

We ended the month of September 2020 with an average of 2.8 months’ supply of inventory of homes for sale. This time last year we ended September with 4 months’ supply of inventory. To be in a normal market we need at least 7 months’ supply. Once again demand is more than supply. In summary, we remain in a seller’s market.
